The Disney singer was very close to her grandfather, calling him her “favorite person to ever exist,” and is obviously having a hard time with his passing. Thankfully, Grande has thousands of fans to wish her well during this difficult time. #GrandpaGrande and #StayStrongAriana have been trending all morning in the United States.

Ariana frequently shared photos and videos of herself with Grandpa Grande which made him a psuedo celebrity in Grande’s fandom. Some Twitter users took the news nearly as hard as Ariana.
