Joel Embiid is now an NBA player and that means one thing: It’s time to date a celebrity.

The former KU star has been looking for a high profile girlfriend on Twitter ever since he was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers. It started with Kim Kardashian but that didn’t go over so well.

But don’t worry, Embiid wasn’t too heartbroken. He was able to get over Kim Kardashian’s rejection in a few days and then turned his attention to Rihanna.

Rihanna hasn’t responded to the message yet but that isn’t stopping this rookie from getting ready for his hot date with the musician.

The 20-year-old basketball player hasn’t played a minute in the NBA yet and he’ll likely miss the majority of his rookie season due to an injury. But that isn’t stopping him from winning over fans in Philadelphia. Now, if only he could work the same magic on the ladies.
