We’ve published some pretty mundane news stories in the past (remember that group of photos of cats wearing hats?) but this could take the cake for the most non-news article that has ever been published on SND. Ladies and gentleman, earlier this week two guys sat on a bench.
Shocked? Amused? Terrified? The photo is somewhat noteworthy because it involves Warren Buffett and Paul McCartney. Still, it’s literally just two guys sitting on a bench.
But maybe that’s why it’s newsworthy. Warren Buffett is worth more than $650 billion. Paul McCartney is worth more than $60 million. But here they are just shooting the breeze on a public bench.
Perhaps the bigger story involves social media, Tom White (the kid in the photo) and celebrity stalking. White said that he saw a photo of McCartney in his neighborhood and, being a big Beatles fan, decided to search the area to catch a sighting of the walrus.
When White finally caught up with Paul McCartney he was surprised to see another ridiculously rich person sitting on the bench.
Buffett and McCartney didn’t mind that White took their photo either. The singer even shared the image on his Twitter account.
