Derek Jeter has earned the respect of his peers, his rivals, his fans, and his advertising company during his 20 years in the MLB. Today, Jordan Brand released a tribute to the New York Yankees star to show how much #Re2pect they have for him.
Jeter, who was the first Jordan Brand-endorsed baseball player when he signed with the company in 1999, announced his retirement earlier this year. He’ll play in his final All-Star game this week and it wouldn’t be surprising to see a few tributes similar to the #Re2pect ad during the broadcast.

The new #Re2pect ad features tributes from athletes like Michael Jordan, Carmelo Anthony and Tiger Woods. It also features appearances from entertainers like Billy Crystal and Jay-Z. But the biggest tribute comes from Jeter’s rivals, like two Boston Red Sox fans, or a few unnamed New York Mets. Of course, Jeter also received some love on Twitter from his fans after the add aired.
