Blackhawks Use Konami Code To Beat Kings

konami code

Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews did their part to get the victory over the Los Angeles Kings on Sunday but they weren’t the only weapon up the  Chicago Blackhawks’ sleeve. The Hawks may or may not owe their success to a game genie and the Konami Code.

The competition was pretty fierce on the ice during the Western Conference Finals but their was also a battle raging on Twitter. The Chicago Blackhawks and the Los Angeles Kings both did their fair share of trash talking on Sunday. The best exchange involved cheating, a game genie, and a classic video game code.

This wasn’t the only exchange between the two teams during game one of the Western Conference Finals. The Kings and the Blackhawks also made a friendly wager.

The Blackhawks didn’t like the sound of that bet so they made a counter offer.

The Blackhawks and the Kings will be putting on a pretty good show for the next six games (or three, GO Hawks!) but not all of the action will be on the ice. The Twitter war is going to be equally intense.
