20 years ago Robin Williams graced the screen as Mrs. Doubtfire. Today we have learned that a Mrs. Doubtfire sequel is in the works at Fox 2000.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Robin Williams, 62, is attached to the new film. He is joined by Home Alone director Chris Columbus.
The original Mrs. Doubtfire film managed to pull down more than $400 million, and cemented Robin Williams already stellar comedy career.
According to NY Daily News, Elizabeth Gabler and Marisa Paiva are overseeing the production for Fox 2000.
The Mrs. Doubtfire sequel isn’t one of those projects that just sprouted out of nowhere, the studio has been in discussions since 2001.
