This Is Why You Don’t Take Selfies Near A Train [Video]

Have you ever wondered why they tell you to stay behind that big yellow line next to the train track? Sure, it’s to keep you from getting hit by a train but it’s also to keep you from getting kicked in the head by a train conductor.

Jared Michael uploaded a video to YouTube this week showing himself taking a selfie next to a train track. Michael says that he was a “safe distance” from the track but apparently he wasn’t out of reach of the conductor’s foot.

Michael writes: “I tried to take a selfie while a train passed a “safe” distance behind. I guess I was still too close and got kicked in the head. I messed up.”

It’s kind of hard to see in the video so let’s slow it down a bit. Yep, that’s definitely a boot to the face.

So kids, next time you’re taking a selfie make sure that you are in a safe place. Make sure that you aren’t going to get hit by a train and make sure that the train conductor doesn’t have on steel toe boots.
