Miss Alabama Announces Engagement On Twitter

Former Miss Alabama Katherine Webb announced her engagement to ex-Crimson Tide quarterback A.J. McCarron on Twitter. The celebrity couple of the SEC showed off a gleaming new diamond on the ring finger of the model and beauty queen.

Nice work by A.J. McCarron who surely won’t let his engagement to a model distract him from preparing for the NFL draft. One person potentially upset by the engagement would be ABC broadcaster Brent Musburger. Musburger brought national attention to the couple during a broadcast where he gave Webb the creepy old man treatment.

In response to the Webb-McCarron engagement a clever twitter user named @nick_pants created this absolutely fantastic twitpic parody.

Katherine Webb, 24, is the daughter of Alan and Leslie Webb. She’s a graduate of Auburn University (A.J. doesn’t mind) and was crowned Miss Alabama 2012.

A.J. McCarron, 23, is the son of Dee Dee Bonner and Tony McCarron. He won three National Championships as starting quarterback at Alabama making him one of the most accomplished college players of all time.

Social News Daily extends congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Alabama and thanks them for using social media for the announcement.
