Kathy Griffin’s Twitter AMA Causes Threats From Demi Lovato Fans

Kathy Griffin Threats From Demi Lovato Fans

Kathy Griffin has managed to anger an entire army of Twitter-equipped angsty teens. During a recent Twitter AMA the often controversial comedian made comments about Demi Lovato, and those comments rubbed Demi’s fans the wrong way.

During a question from one Twitter follower Griffin called Lovato by the wrong first name, and then she joked about the singer’s claims that Lady Gaga’s controversial SXSW performance promoted bulimia.

Following that tweet Demi Lovato posted the following message:

“Only a “douche” to people I can’t stand pic.twitter.com/TgFzyGjlJg

— Demi Lovato (@ddlovato) March 25, 2014″

Lovato has since deleted her Twitter message.

Kathy Griffin was then met with a bunch of angry and even threatening tweets.

So how did the “D List” comedian handle the threats? She took it all in stride:

After realizing that her fans were on the offensive, Demi sent out the following message:

I love you guys so much but y’all gotta chill with sending hate towards other people. Regardless of what they say or do.. The cruel things some of you are saying can really, REALLY hurt people. It’s called cyber-bullying and somethings should NEVER be wished upon EVER. No matter WHAT. It makes me so sad to see how mean people can really be after all I’ve spoken out about anti-bullying. Be an example for other haters. I know my #Lovatics are better than that. I really appreciate you guys always having my back but this is going way too far. Please spread [peace] not hate….

As long as their is Twitter and an obsession with celebrities these type of attacks will continue.
