The publishing industry has adapted to the ever-growing influence of social media, and a new Twitter account looks to reveal the shady world of viral media.

Created early Friday morning, he’s already tweeted over 50 times, but the identity of @ExMediaMan is completely unknown.

Media Man tells a tale of his alleged experience with various news sites, from an industry dominated by whitey to Buzzfeed writers reportedly being hooked on ADD drugs:

He calls out well-known writers, and chats up secrets of the trade:

Of course, a lot of what Media Man, who could easily be a hoax brings up, isn’t exactly shocking.

In an industry hell-bent on grabbing eyeballs, it comes to no surprise that same employ shady practices to rack up ad dollars.

Link bait. Poor wages. Conflicts of interest. Vices. It has all existed since the invention of the newspaper.

And if we’re being totally honest, we absolutely love Reddit here at Social News Daily.
