Psy’s Gangnam Style Breaks World Record For Most ‘Likes’ On YouTube

Oompa world record style! South Korean sensation Psy has watched his Gangnam Style video set a new world record for “most likes on YouTube” after surpassing the 2.29 million views mark on Friday. The new world record was confirmed by Guinness World Records.

First reported by Chase Hoffberger of The Daily Dot the video record was spotted after it managed to rack up a whopping 2,238,848 likes versus just 97,458 dislikes. The previous record was held by now defunct group LMFAO which has managed to procure 1.5 million likes.

In a statement released on Friday morning Guinness World Records community manager Dan Barrett said it’s “great to be able to award a record for this tremendously popular video.”

2.29 million likes is impressive but it’s the 97,458 that interests us, we didn’t realize that many people were afraid of invisible horses.
