MTV Movie Awards - Twitter Voting For Best Movie

The MTV Movie Awards is taking a new approach to its “Real Hero” category in 2012, allowing potential viewers to vote for their favorite hero using Twitter.

Twitter user will be able to cast their vote for “Real Hero” by simply using Twitter hashtags. Voting has already begun and will run through the night of the event. To help visualize the voting MTV has created a visualization tool that shows live comments as they arrive while giving chase to a real-time race to the finish.

MTV has also chosen to integrate Facebook, focusing that social network on memorable moments which will be posted to the worlds largest social network. The MTV Movie Awards will also capture fans likes and comments throughout the show.

Here’s a huge surprise, Harry Potter is in a dead heat lead with Katniss Everdeen.
