Ian McKellen is currently known for his role as Gandalf in The Lord of the Rings franchise, and can be seen in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug hitting theaters this Friday.

Why was Ian McKellen at Sesame Street you ask? Sesame Street recently filmed a Lord of the Rings parody titled “Lord of the Crumbs.”
Starring Cookie Monster, it tells the tale of a legendary dessert that was destroyed, and only one holds the recipe to bring it back to life.
Cookie Monster, who plays as Gobble, must do his best to remember the recipe, and bring delicious cookies back to “Monster Earth.”
The parody airs on Sesame Street this Thursday, but you can watch it right now thanks to YouTube.
