Starbucks And Twitter Announce Tweet-A-Coffee Program

Tweet A Coffee From Starbucks and Twitter

Twitter and Starbucks have announced a new partnership that allows customers to exchange gift certificates by tweeting.

The program is called “tweet-a-coffee” and the coffee chain hopes it will capitalize on spontaneous gift giving among coffee loving, caffeine-addicted friends.

To participate in the program simply tweet @tweetacoffee and write in the handle of the recipient. eGifts will initially start with $5 denominations and can be printed out or loaded onto a Starbucks digital card.

Twitter is quickly becoming the go to platform for quick reaction ecommerce. Earlier in the year American Express began allowing customers to make purchases using a simple hashtag request.

Will you be using the “tweet-a-coffee” program to send your friends coffee via Twitter?
