The Giant Rubber Duck has arrived in Pittsburgh.

The massive bath toy, designed by Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman, has been everywhere from Hong Kong to Australia but this is the first time that the Giant Rubber Duck has hit the rivers of the United States.

Coast Guard Lt. JG Devin Adams said that his team has been working hard to make sure that the bath toy has safe passage down the Ohio River. Adams has also been trying to alert residence so that they aren’t too startled to see a Giant Rubber Duck in the river.

Adams said: “Our job at that point is to alert the maritime community … that there’s going to be a duck there.”

Time Magazine notes that the Giant Rubber Duck was designed by Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman but Hofman didn’t spearhead the Pittsburgh project. Paul Organisak of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust built his own duck after getting Hofman’s approval.
