Blurtl: Send Recorded Messages To Your Facebook Wall

Australian telecom company Telstra has come up with a Facebook Application that is quite possibly my newest momentary favorite feature on the social network sites radar. Called Blurtl the application allows users to create 30 second voice clips with their mobile phone which can then be posted to their personal Facebook walls.

Created by DDB the app can be used as many times as a user would like and only requires the app to be installed on the users Facebook account while recordings are created with the users mobile phone. As the program is largely aimed at the youth market a smartphone, laptop or computer isn’t even required.

Here’s the promotional video for Blurtl:

The Blurtl campaign is now active, simply search for Blurtl using the Facebook search box at the top of your Facebook screen and then register your mobile number with the application so you can begin phoning in your messages.

Sorry to anyone outside Australia, since the program is sponsored by Telestra it’s not available in the U.S. or other regions at this time, however I’m positive other enterprising telecommunication companies will end up offering a similar function given the apps rising popularity in Australia in a rather short period of time.
