Facebook CAO Jas Athwal Unloads Shares As Value Soars

With Facebook shares trading close to their IPO level the social networks Chief Accounting Officer Jas Athawl wasted no time in selling some of his holdings.

Facebook shares closed at $36.80 on Wednesday, far above the company’s low of nearly $17.

In an SEC Form 4 filing Athawl revealed sales totaling 25,375 class-A shares of Facebook common stock at $34.97 apiece, and another 125 shares at $35.65.

Athwal now controls 152,029 Facebook shares.

One look at Facebook share pricing since it’s IPO in early 2012 and it’s easy to see why Athwal unloaded a good number of shares:

With investors currently looking at Facebook as a safe investment we may see more executives offloading some of their shares in an attempt to capitalize on the highest Facebook share prices in more than a year.
