Social media drives billions of pageviews to major U.S. media properties through referral traffic but which platform drives the highest level of traffic?
The team at Mashable and their partner platform Statista examined which social networks drive traffic to 10 of the United States’ biggest mainstream media websites.
Statista measured traffic received through Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, StumbleUpon and other social networks.
Facebook proves to be very consistent for all 10 publications while referral traffic from the other social networks varied by publication.
