The new Facebook social graph isn’t just a great way to find “Friends who live in my hometown,” it’s also a great tool for social search discovery. Review website Stik recently took a close look at social graph search and how it can help users find local business professionals
When it comes to finding a real estate agent, lawyer, beautician, accountant, mortgage broker, and other important working professionals Stik suggests utilizing your friends via search.
In the groups study they found that 9 out of 10 people trust a friend’s recommendation more than any other source of information. The study also found that 66% of new businesses are found through search and 82% of businesses are chosen by word-of-mouth.
