One Direction’s ‘Best Song Ever’ Music Video Sets Online Viewing Record

One Direction’s music video for their new single “Best Song Ever” has set a new online viewing record.

In the first 24 hours of release music video provider VEVO announced that the video had been viewed 10,932,425 times. The previous record for Miley Cyrus’ “We Can’t Stop” music video was set at 10.7 million video views.

On their Twitter account One Direction tweeted:

Over 10.9 MILLION views and counting for the #BestSongEverOfficialVideo. Final amount coming later today! #1DFamilyAreTheBest #1DFACT 1DHQ x

VEVO followed the One Direction tweet with the following message:

First count is 10.9 MILLION which means…@OneDirection has BROKEN THE 24HR RECORD! HUGE! Final count coming later today! #BSEVEVORECORD RT!

In the Best Song Ever music video the One Direction boys imitate people from around the music industry.

The Best Song Ever is basically a promotion video for the boys new One Direction: This Is Us movie. The movie comes out on August 30, 2013.
