Twitter App Update Delivers User Specified Trends By Location Or Topic

Twitter Mobile

Twitter on Thursday rolled out an iOS and Google Android app update. The new version of the company’s mobile software now allows users to specify trends based on location and specific topic interests.

Users can customize their trends panel for a specific location of their choosing or via any content they already follow in the app.

Other new user options have also been added. Users can now invite social contact to join Twitter from the mobile app. The app also automatically notifies both the original poster and the re-tweeter when a reply is posted for a tweet.

The new update also brings improved playback to Vine just one week after users received an update that allowed front-facing camera recording.
