WrestleMania 29 Command Center Launched By HootSuite

Wrestlemania 29 Command Center By HootSuite

HootSuite is helping WWE fans stay connected with the rollout of the WrestleMania 29 Command Center.

The WWE’s big event of the year is already seeing a lot of interest thanks to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and John Cena taking to the mainstage event on April 7.

HootSuite is calling the WrestleManio 29 Command Center a “second screen” for wrestling fans who want to get more out of their viewing experience.

While the event is just one day long the social app network realizes that discussions have been ongoing for weeks, perhaps even months and that many of those discussions now take place on Twitter, Facebook, and other social networks.

According to Hootsuite the Command Center focuses on the main bout between The Rock and John Cena. It monitors:

  • The total Twitter mentions and Twitter sentiment of each wrestler

  • The most recent Tweet from each wrestler

  • The Facebook likes and amount of people talking about each wrestler on Facebook

  • and more!

The command center focuses on conversations between Twitter users and Facebook accounts, allowing for a pretty good representation of social network users.

Even the wrestlers own tweets are included in the conversation. For example, here is Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson calling out John Cena on Twitter:

According to HootSuite it uses What the Trend to track Twitter trends weekly and almost every week the WWE is towards the top of social network trending. In fact, MOnday Night Raw viewers usually make #Raw a top ten American trend at least once or twice a month.

John Cena is currently the third most followed American athlete on social media with 17 million combined Facebook and Twitter followers. The Rock isn’t doing bad himself with 12.5 million combined users.

The WWE is a HootSuite Enterprise client that uses social media to offer exclusive content and opportunities to interact with fan favorites.

This isn’t the first we have seen of the HootSuite Command Center, we also covered its use during Super Bowl XLVI.

Take some time and check out the HootSuite WrestleMania 29 Command Center!
