Here’s an interesting way to see which tablet is the most popular in terms of sales and social use, examing Twitter to see how many people have tweeted “First tweet from…” followed by the name of their device.

For example “First Tweet from my iPad!” or “First Tweet from my Nexus 7.”

While the results shown on this page may not be super officials the results do seem to mirror expected sales numbers leading up to the end of 2012.

In nothing else the study may show us which devices are favored for Twitter use among various tablet platforms from Apple, Google, Microsoft and others.
