How To Embed New Instagram Badges On Your Website

Instagram recently rolled out web profiles and has now launched badges to help you promote your profile. This feature is available to both personal users and business accounts. To get started, go to Instagram.com/accounts/badges/. Once logged in, you’ll see this screen:

There are four different graphics to choose from, three being blue icons and one being a “View on Instagram” button. Click the one you want. Once you’ve done that, the box below should now have some HTML code.

Now that you’ve got the code, you’ll need to copy and paste it to your website. If you use WordPress, go to your Dashboard. On the left hand side, scroll over “Appearance” and click on “Widgets.” Find the “Text” widget and drag and drop it to the sidebar on the right.

Alternatively, if you already have a widget in place with social icons, you can simply paste the code there. The process is fairly straightforward on other website platforms and once you’ve saved changes, it should look something like this:

Acquired by Facebook in April 2012 for $1 billion cash and stock, Instagram has over 100 million registered users. Back in September, it had 7.3 million daily mobile users compared to Twitter’s 6.9 million.
