Glenn Beck’s Pay Network To Offer “Virtual Rewards” Through Facebook Interaction

Glenn Beck is busily working on his new “subscription TV Network” and while I personally can’t stand the guy, his new “virtual rewards program” which will help supplement the networks $4.95 to $9.95 per month fees is actually quite smart.

The “GBTV” network is currently using MLB Advanced Media technology to power subscriptions, while Clear Channel is securing promotions for the show across their radio station network, allowing users to watch HD-quality video from their various digital devices including iPads, iPhones and even Roku powered TV sets.

Where the network sets itself apart is the use of advanced Facebook integration. Fans of the show earn Merit Rewards for checking in during shows, sharing Beck’s lies, I mean content and even taking polls. As merit points are earned that “virtual currency” can be redeemed to watch exclusive content and to earn discount codes for Beck’s goods and services from sponsor’s and from his own show. Top sharers will even receive the monthly subscription for free.

Fans will also be able to win merit badges which they can display on their Facebook pages, an option sure to create violent hate speech among friends. If you’re a Beck believer you may even land on his “top earners” leader board.

The program is powered by Fan Appz and is sure to create an interesting community of conspiracy theorists and people who like to create fake tears with Vick’s Vapo Rub.

Here’s just a very small preview of the platform:
