LeAnn Rimes Blames Rehab Stay On Twitter, Facebook

Country singer LeAnn Rimes is fresh out of rehab and blaming her stay at the facility on Facebook, Twitter and other social media outlets.

Speaking to The Boston Herald’s Inside Track the singer says she developed an over abundance of “stress” and “anxiety” before entering into rehab.

LeAnn says of social media’s part in her rehab stint:

“I think it’s really hard to deal with Twitter and Facebook and all these social media outlets. And it’s hard to take it day after day of reading and seeing things that someone you don’t even know says about you. As much as you said you don’t want it to penetrate, it does, because you’re human.”

LeAnn Rimes admits that all of her problems have not been caused by social media outlets. For example she was estranged from her manager father during her younger years and she cheated on her ex-husband with current husband Eddie Cibrian.

Rimes tells RadarOnline:

“I’ve been in therapy my whole life. I like going. I like being able to have that third-party input and someone to listen that has nothing to do with your life. Everyone has an opinion of how I am and how I should be, and now I’m focusing on how I want to be.”

LeAnn Rimes claims that she entered and successfully completed her stint in rehab so she could live the next 30-years of her life without the type of issues she has faced during the first part of her life which has largely been lived in the spotlight.

If the singer continues to blame Facebook and Twitter for her problems she’s probably in for more problems considering how much celebrities these days use those networks and others to stay relevant to their fan base.
