Computer programmer Rick Ucker recently found a unique and extremely geeky way to propose to his girlfriend. Ucker created an application called Chrono which allows extremely nerdy guys to propose to their girlfriends by way of a Pebble smartwatch app.

Ucker recently posted the source code for Chrono on Github. The program is a fullscreen app which displays scrollable text.

According to Ucker:

I chose Chrono Trigger, the classic SNES RPG, as a theme for two reasons: First, she and I grew up playing a lot of video games and Chrono Trigger was always a favorite of ours. We discovered this fact the night we met, much to our mutual delight. Second, the Chrono (time) theme was apt considering the fact that the app was to run on a watch.

Here is the message he displayed:

She said “Yes” which might just ensure the continued growth of their very own geek herd.
