Lady Gaga 20 Million Twitter Followers Lady Gaga Becomes First Person To Reach 20 Million Twitter Followers

Lady Gaga has become the first person to reach more than 20 million followers on Twitter.

Gaga surpassed pop superstar Britney Spears in August of 2010 and never looked back with Spears sitting at approximately 13.5 million Twitter followers on Saturday.

In the meantime it could be Lady Gaga’s personal touch that helped her surpass Britney Spears, while Britney has a team of people who manage her Twitter account Lady Gaga claims to personally interact with her fans while sharing personal photos and taking care of her own announcements.

In 2010 when she passed Britney Spears it was Gaga who dubbed herself the “Queen of Twitter,” and so far it’s true.

Even Justin Bieber hasn’t been able to keep up with the Bad Romance singer with 18 million followers while pop singer Katy Perry has just over 15.7 million followers.

At one point in mid-2011 it was believed that 3% of all Twitter’s tweets were about Justin Bieber, it would be interesting to know what percentage of Tweets are about Lady Gaga.
