Foursquare Brings Notification Tray To iOS Devices

Foursquare on Friday rolled out their new notification tray for iOS devices, several weeks after the company announced the same update for Google Android devices.

The notification tray shows new activity as it occurs such as check-ins, comments and other updates from your friends accounts.

The program is simple to use, just click on the number next to the Foursquare logo and the notification tray pops up and shows all events that have been occurring. Because the new feature is baked into the program users don’t need to activate push notifications in order to receive updates.

Users who download the application for the first time from the Apple App Store will receive the notification tray moving forward while current customers can download the update from the app store updates tab on their iOS devices.
