More than 10 million people tuned into watch The Bible last night on the History Channel and many of those viewers noticed something interesting about the devil: He looks a lot like President Obama.
When Obama’s satan look-alike popped up on the screen TV viewers took to Twitter to make sure that they saw what they thought they saw. And yes, many people thought that President Obama’s doppelganger, AKA Satan, was starring on The Bible.

The History Channel hasn’t commented on its devil yet but some people are saying that this can’t be a coincidence.
HBO was criticized last year for putting George W. Bush’s head on a stake during an episode of Game Of Thrones. At the time, the company apologized and explained that they needed a bunch of severed heads for a scene and they happened to have one of George W. Bush. The History Channel won’t be able to make the same excuse. They hired an actor, put him in makeup, and ended up with someone looking a lot like Obama.

Of course, that doesn’t mean that they did it on purpose.
But The Bible does have one strong coincidental anti-Obama tie. Series creator Mark Burnett has served as producer for two major Obama foes. He worked with Sarah Palin on Sarah Palin’s Alaska and Donald Trump on The Apprentice. Burnett has also done shows like Survivor, Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader, and Shark Tank so let’s not call The Bible anti-Obama just yet.
